About Repliku and Riku and the girl namine!. (ENG-JPN comparison) (Bonus Analysis) (Anon Asked) >>
Anon asked about the post-battle scene of Repliku (presumed dark riku) + I have a small analysis on it.
ENG first, then JPN. Same dialogue won't be included.
= Post-battle Scene =
"You're..not real."
> "I'm the real thing."
//
"I'm the real one"
>>"/I'm/ the real thing."
"Aren't you my past self? From when Ansem possesed me?"
>>"Aren't you the me from the time Ansem possessed me?"
"No, you beat Ansem and you're still here."
>>"The Riku from back then isn't you."
(Right now, you're no longer the person you were back then)
"This guy...is me."
>>"That's me."
//////
"Take the vessel!"
>"Don't you want to be revived?"
"No."
"Me?"
"The world already has you."
>>"I'm good. You already exist."
"There's someone else who needs the replica more."
>>"There's still someone else we have to save."
"You know who I mean."
>"Use the vessel [for that purpose]"
"Namine. You're saving her."
>>"You...are doing this for Namine's sake."
"Good luck"
>>"I'm counting on you."
(I'm leaving it [her] to you)
And then, they disappear.

But if you pay attention, you'll see it's not a cloud of darkness-- it's a mingled darkness and light.
Based on this and the beach scene, it leads me to believe that the repliku apparition and the dark repliku are two sides of a coin. Years ago, when Repliku fell apart after his battle, his self split up. The last remaining sane light side clung to the real Riku. This sane light side from repliku back then is a copy of the part that grew into who Riku is today, the side that clung to the light.
The dark side of repliku that fell to ruin seems to have gotten summoned back by Ansem and co. This paragraph is purely theory based on what we know though, since exact details aren't exactly given.
Essentially, it seems that what we believed was "dark riku" is a manifestation of Repliku's darkness, the ruin a disembodied Repliku fell into at the time, and, while based on a past Riku, it's something the real riku has since defeated and outgrown. On top of that, who we presumed was "dark riku" keeps going on in delirium about being "the real thing", something Repliku was obsessed with before.
If we consider this as true and "light" repliku and "dark" repliku are both halves of a whole, it makes sense that "light" repliku was able to drag "dark" repliku out of the replica body.
////Finally, look at Repliku's last words. He's leaving Namine in Riku's hands-- as representative. That explains his actions towards Namine in the end. It's what Repliku's last wish was, and he's seeing it through.////
